Thiago Alves vs. Martin Kampmann reportedly headed to not yet announced March 3 UFC event

A welterweight matchup between Martin Kampmann and Thiago Alves is heading to an as-yet unannounced event on March 3, according to a report from MMAWeekly.com. The report says the event is being rumored as another UFC Fox card, though that has not yet been revealed.

Alves is coming off a win over Papy Abedi at UFC 138 in England earlier this month, bouncing back from a loss to Rick Story in May.

Kampmann stopped a two fight losing streak in his own fight against Story, earning a decision victory last weekend at UFC 139. He's now 3-2 over his last five, while Alves is 2-3 in that same time span.
