Fabio Maldonado vs. Stanislav Nedkov booked for UFC 142 in Brazil

Another bout for the UFC's return to Rio de Janeiro in January is now set, as UFC officials announced that Fabio Maldonado will meet Stanislav Nedkov on the UFC 142 card.

Maldonado had an eleven fight winning streak snapped in his last fight, a decision loss to Kyle Kingsbury in a tough back and forth fight.

Nedkov, meanwhile, made a successful UFC debut on the organization's last event in Rio, August's UFC 134. The Bulgarian moved his unbeaten record to 12-0 with a first round TKO over Luiz Cane.

The event takes place on January 14 from the HSBC Arena in Rio, site of UFC 134. It's the first of what is expected to be multiple events in the country in 2012.
